Welcome to Groningen, the Dutch town with the most live music venues per square meter. We’re happy to welcome you to play at ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag). On this artist guide website, you can find all kinds of information: all the additional information you need for your show, how to get to Groningen and how to get around once you’re there. Next to that, there is some information about our other projects such as ETEP, and some recommendations on how you can spend your free time in the city during the festival.
During two showcase festivals (Eurosonic and Noorderslag), you have the chance to present yourself to an international audience of music lovers and professionals. Many bookers and programmers from highly valued festivals that are part of ETEP, like Glastonbury, Coachella and Sziget, are visiting to discover new music and to see who they will book next for their annual festivals. As you probably understand, that means a lot could come from your showcase at ESNS if you play it right! Eurosonic is the stepping stone for European acts, taking place in the city center of Groningen. Noorderslag presents the best Dutch music and takes place in De Oosterpoort.
Once you arrive in Groningen, we would like to welcome you at The Artist Village first, where you can pick up your accreditation & check in at your hotel. You can check the Artist Village page for some more info on the possibilities of the Artist Village as well. If you want to know more about your travel options, visit the Travel page. And, last but not least, if you are curious what else this great city has to offer besides the festival, go check out our tailormade Groningen Guide! It will include our recommendations for restaurants, places to have a drink, cool places to go and see and so on.
Please see your call sheet as sent by our artist production department for all details concerning the official showcase.
