BSÍ and their debut album are one of the more unconventional things coming out of Iceland in 2021. The album 'Sometimes depressed ... but always antifascist' pretty much states how Silla Thorarensen (drums & vocals) and Julius Pollux Rothlaender (bass guitar & synths) have felt during the writing of what is actually a double EP. The duo directed sorrow, joy and anger into two distinctly different sides: Five songs full of low key heartbreak melancholy, five songs riot grrrl lo-fi cute punk.

Het album 'Sometimes depressed ... but always antifascist' staat voor hoe Silla Thorarensen (drums en vocalen) en Julius Pollux Rothlaender (bas en synths) zich voelden tijdens het schrijven van wat eigenlijk een dubbele EP is. Het duo dirigeerde al het verdriet, blijdschap en boosheid naar twee nogal verschillende kanten: Vijf songs vol bescheiden hartbrekende melancholie, vijf nummers riot grrrl lo-fi schattige punk.
