Spill Gold Netherlands
Amsterdam’s Rosa Ronsdorf and Nina de Jong made a name for themselves as Spill Gold with a demo tape which soon saw them touring across the US, UK and EU. Mixing heavy guitar riffs with flickering post-apocalyptic rave tapestries topped with a wild dose of trance-inducing psychedelia, their work sounds both euphorically raw, dancy and introspectively downbeat. The equally punk-minded Knekelhuis released their much anticipated debut album Highway Hypnosis in October, an LP that sees the band navigating from 70s synth pop to industrial and stoner rock grooves, via hallucinated lullabies à la Jefferson Airplane and shape-shifting electronica harmonics.

Ze roepen zware gitaar-riffs op, samen met flikkerende post-apocalyptische rave-tapijten en afgetopt met trance-opwekkende psychedelica, en klinken tegelijk euforisch rauw, dansbaar en introspectief en somber. Het even punk-gezinde Knekelhuis bracht het langverwachte debuutalbum Highway Hypnosis in oktober uit. Daarop navigeren ze van sixties synthpop naar industrial en stonergrooves, via hallucinerende wiegeliedjes à la Jefferson Airplane en uiteenlopende elektronica-harmonieën.
