Wannes Cappelle from Belgium) and Dutchman Broeder Dieleman come together for a unique project. Together with cello player Frans Grapperhaus they tour venues and theaters with thei album Dit Is De Bedoeling (This Is How It’s Meant). Wannes and Tonnie have more in common than one would think. Both sing visually rich stories in, respectively, West-Vlaams and Zeeuws-Vlaams. The singers voice in their mother tongue; an arcadian dialect that normally doesn’t travel beyond the region’s boundaries. Still they tell universal stories and manage to touch people from everywhere. Their language is musical and effective, their songs move and disarm. And that is how it’s meant (to be).
