CASHLESS AT ESNS
Just like in previous years, you can pay with your wristband or chip card anywhere at ESNS. After the festival, you can easily get a refund of your remaining credit transferred to your bank account without additional charge. De Oosterpoort is completely cashless and in the Eurosonic venues you can pay cashless or with cash and/or a card.
How do cashless payments work?
To attend Eurosonic, you will exchange your ticket for a wristband with a chip. You can use this chip to execute cashless payments. Noorderslag attendees will not receive a wristband with chip, but can acquire a chipcard in De Oosterpoort during the event to pay cashless.
At the top up points you can put credit on your wristband or chip card. Top up point locations are listed on the map in the printed timetable (you can find these at the box office in Forum Groningen, in Eurosonic venues and De Oosterpoort).
During the event you can also top up online with the Payconiq app. You can install the app and top-up your balance with the QR code on your chip.
Visited a Top Up point? You will now be able to pay with your wristband or chip card. At the bar, you order what you want and scan your wristband or chip card to pay. The display will show your order, the amount charged and the remaining amount on your wristband.
At Eurosonic we offer an online refund only. You can get your money back without extra costs. Fill in your ticket number, and fill in your bank details. Cash back is possible until 30 days after the event (February 16, 2020).
If you’ve created an online profile and have used this to top up your chip, you will get an automatic refund.
If you don’t have an online profile, you can also request a refund. You can do so using the number on the chip on your wristband or your chip card. Please use the link below you request a refund with you chip (card) number.
Can I do something with cashless before the event?
Before the festival you can create an online profile. You can use this profile to pre-charge money to your account and request a refund after the event. When collecting your wristband, the money will automatically be added to your balance.
If you are only visiting Noorderslag and have topped up online, you should hold on to your ticket and take it to the service point in the entrance hall of De Oosterpoort.
Can I top up online?
Can I see what I have spent?
Yes, you will be able to see what you have spent during the festival. You have the option to download a purchase history with VAT specification from your online profile one week after the event.
How does the hardcups work at ESNS?
In select Eurosonic venues drinks will be served in hardcups. In these venues you will be charged an additional €1,- as a deposit. When you return your cup/bottle to the bar you will get your deposit back on your chip or in cash.
Are there hardcups at every venue?
No, we only use hardcups in select venues. You will get a hardcup in Hooghoudt Barn, Praedinius Gymnasium, Vrijdag and Werkman Lyceum. In the mediacompound (Martinikerk) and at the Grote Markt (Eurosonic Air) and Vismarkt you will also receive a hardcup.
Why does ESNS work with hardcups?
ESNS uses hardcups for sustainability reasons.
