A Model for a United Industry - LIVE Green

English spoken

What happens when you put promoters, agents, managers, Artists, venues, tour managers, and live sustainability leaders together in a room with a united purpose? No, not jelly wrestling (fun as that would be). In this case, the united purpose is bigger than our industry and bigger than ourselves and our differences - to leave behind a legacy that is as good as if not better than the one we were born into, and in doing so saving our industry from significant future risk. LIVE Green is a division of LIVE, in the UK where all sectors of the LIVE business and sustainability experts came together to agree a collective direction of travel - to reduce our emissions and improve the wellbeing of our industry as a whole. Organisations such at Paradigm, UTA, AEG, Live Nation, Kilimanjaro, the Tour Production Group (TPG), Concert Promoters Association (CPA), National Arenas Association (NAA), A Greener Festival (AGF) and Julies Bicycle put aside competitive interests and worked together on creating the LIVE Green Beyond Zéro Déclaration. The foundations have been laid and now the multiple parts of the sector are sharing and doing their part to achieve these clear targets. This is a model for how each country can bring together the multifaceted expertise and influences from within their industry, to achieve remarkable change.
