Philipp Grefer WISE
Philipp is CEO of WISE - The Future Festival & Think Tank, which he founded in 2018 in Beijing and has taken to five cities in China and Germany in 2021. The 5th edition of WISE will take place in Berlin and other cities on May 19/20, 2022.
Philipp is CEO of WISE - The Future Festival & Think Tank, which he founded in 2018 in Beijing and has taken to five cities in China and Germany in 2021.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the music & events business in various roles, 11 of which he lived in China, where he co-founded 360-degree music agency FakeMusicMedia in 2009. He brought over 200 artists to China / Asia (e.g. Hot Chip, Royksopp, Die Toten Hosen), and has taken Chinese Rockstars Nova Heart around the world.
Currently he is appointed by Initiative Musik to curate the program for the German Haus at SXSW 2022. He recently completed a fact finding mission about Mexico´s music industry on behalf of the European Commission as well as a short documentary about Berlin´s creative scene commissioned by the German Embassy in Beijing.
He is author of the China Music Industry Report, worked at the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai and curated programs for festivals including Reeperbahn Festival and Most Wanted: Music, Berlin.
Philipp consults artists, companies and government organizations on the Chinese / Asian markets.
He has worked as a journalist for Germany´s biggest broadcaster WDR, the German Government Organization GIZ, as an international advisor for Chinese gaming giant Kunlun and with US Ambassador Jeffrey Davidow for the Institute of the Americas in San Diego.
Philipp is a sought after speaker around the world and has been invited to conferences/festivals in Australia, the US, Canada, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Finland, Norway, Saudi Arabia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and India.
He holds a master's degree in Political Science & Economics with a focus on Latin America.

Jani Joenniemi EARS on Asia
Jani is a seasoned entrepreneur who helps film and TV production companies, music industry as well as consumer brands with market research, partnerships, digital distribution and marketing in Asia. Jani co-owns and manages the creative industry conference series EARS – Europe-Asia Roundtable Sessions – that has over the years helped connect thousands of creative industry professionals in Helsinki, Shanghai and Beijing and Mumbai. He is also a managing partner at Outpost Social - a China-based company that produces, distributes and localises content on Chinese social media and streaming platforms. -

Franz Hergovich Austrian Music Export
Franz Hergovich, born in Vienna in 1967, works as project manager at mica – music austria since 2008. He co-founded Austrian Music Export as common initiative of mica – music austria and the Austrian Music Fund. Since 2011 he is the representative of the managing director at mica. He was head of national distribution at Soul Seduction for a decade and worked as a concert promoter and DJ. He was Secretary of EMO (European Music Office) from 2010-2013, a member of the IAMIC Board (International Association of Music Information Centres) in 2012/13 and managing director of the MICA – Music Promotion Agency GmbH from 2011-2015. Currently he is a member of the board of the network of European Music Export Offices, EMEE (European Music Exporters Exchange).
