Europe in Sync - De-mystifying the Holy Grail called “Sync”

Markus Linde Thags agent (DE), Ilana Goldstoff Sizzer Amsterdam (NL), Nis Bøgvad Copenhagen Film Music (DK)

Labels & Publishing

English spoken

There has not been a music conference in recent memory without a Sync-panel, a Sync-workshop, or a Sync-presentation. While we all agree it is a great subject and surely a most important means of exploiting catalogues, the day-to-day business of searching, proposing and, ideally, licensing of music for a commercial looks bleak. This panel addresses the deficiencies in the communication and the mutual understanding between the world of advertising and our world of music - and looks at one attempt to establish common ground. Europe in Sync is a new initiative, fostering the European professionalisation of young music professionals actively involved in sync licensing, promoting the utilisation of culturally diverse European music in new audio-visual productions in film, advertising and other content.
