ESNS22_picto_black_.png The streaming boom that was already taking place in India has been accelerated to new heights by the Covid-19 pandemic. The emergence of global platforms in India such as Spotify Amazon Prime, Netflix and well the local streaming and short video apps have increased Indian markets exposure to international content and opened the doors for Indian content to the world. India is now second only to the US in terms of investments channeled into media industry and already the worlds biggest market in terms of users for Youtube, Facebook and the like. Indian music industry's fortunes have for long time been tightly knit together with the massive Indian film industry. That connection is now fast changing. How does audiovisual content lead India's music industry in 2021? What kind of opportunities does India's market for short video apps, NFT's, films and series offer for international collaboration?
