Gijs de Jong has served as Secretary-General of the Royal Netherlands Football Association since July 2017.

Born in the southern village of Asten in 1972, Gijs de Jong graduated in Public Administration from the University of Leiden before starting his career as an event manager and consultant at the Amsterdam ArenA stadium. In the autumn of 2003, he joined the KNVB as public affairs officer and coordinator for safety and security issues. In 2010, De Jong was appointed manager of the KNVB Competitions Department, and four years later, he joined KNVB Management as director of operations. In addition to his work for the KNVB, De Jong has a number of international roles: he is UEFA delegate / FIFA match commissioner and member of the UEFA National Teams Competition Committee.

Gijs de Jong has a wife and three children and lives in Asten (Noord-Brabant province). In his spare time, he likes riding his racing bike, kicking a ball with his kids in the garden or enjoys a nice game of football in the stadium or on television.

Jeroen Bartelse is algemeen directeur van TivoliVredenburg. Van huis uit is Jeroen bestuurskundige en promoveerde hij op een proefschrift over hogeronderwijsbeleid. Zijn onderzoek bracht hem aan universiteiten in verre windstreken als Zuid-Afrika en Mozambique. Later boog hij zich voor de Vereniging van Universiteiten over de invoering van het bachelor-masterstelsel in Nederland en ging als directeur Kennis en Innovatie aan de slag voor het Ministerie van OCW en Economische Zaken. Zijn liefde voor cultuur bracht hem in 2011 naar de Raad voor Cultuur waar hij de scepter zwaaide over het adviesorgaan van regering en parlement op het gebied van cultuur en media. In 2018 maakte hij de overstap naar TivoliVredenburg, het veelzijdige muziek- en cultuurgebouw in het hart van Utrecht.

Jolanda is CEO of Rotterdam Ahoy, a venue consisting of an arena, event halls and a convention center. Ahoy acts both as a facilitating venue and as organisor/promoter of different type of events.
Jolanda has a background in Business Administration at Erasmus University and works since 2004 for Ahoy. Since the start of the pandemic, she is also involved in the ‘Alliance of Event Makers’, an alliance of a number of parties in sports, culture and entertainment, throughout the supply chain to help the event industry during the crisis to go ‘back to normal’ asap.

Paul de Rook has been Vice-Mayor of the City of Groningen since 2014. Home to the Eurosonic-Noorderslag Festival.
Mr. De Rook’s responsibilities include a.o. Cultural en Economic Affairs.

He is a regional and national advocate for boosting the role of (popular) music in cities as well as in education.

Ritty van Straalen (1974) begon in 2002 bij ID&T en werd al snel COO (en partner) van het bedrijf. Onder zijn leiding werd de basis gelegd van het huidige ID&T. Dit was ook de tijd dat het bedrijf wereldwijde bekendheid verwierf en werd overgenomen door SFX Entertainment (2012). Na de verkoop van ID&T verhuisde Ritty in 2013 naar New York om het lokale ID&T-kantoor op te zetten en bracht o.a. Mysteryland, Tomorrowland en Sensation, die vele tienduizenden bezoekers per festival trokken, naar de USA en Brazilië. 

In 2014 werd Ritty CEO van de live tak van het beursgenoteerde SFX Entertainment. In 2016 verliet hij het bedrijf om terug te keren naar Nederland en Fourmation Entertainment op te richten. In 2019 voegde hij zich opnieuw bij de ID&T Group als CEO met de ambitie om het bedrijf samen met de founders naar een volgend niveau te trekken door bestaande concepten verder te laten uit groeien, nieuwe concepten te lanceren en innovator te zijn op digital vlak binnen de evenementen industrie.

 

ID&T is opgericht in 1992 en organiseert circa 80 evenementen per jaar. Onder de ID&T-groep vallen onder meer de bedrijven b2s, ID&T Events, Q-dance, Monumental (Awakenings), Air Events, Art of Dance en VD Events en evenementen als Mysteryland, Amsterdam Open Air, Vunzige Deuntjes Festival, Thunderdome, Defqon.1 Weekend Festival, Awakenings, Decibel Outdoor en Masters of Hardcore. Met haar evenementen trekt ID&T ruim 1 miljoen bezoekers per jaar. Onderdeel van de ID&T-groep zijn tevens Platinum Agency en Most Wanted DJ-agency, de 2 grootste hard dance agencies in de wereld, en management agency Headliner Entertainment.

In these busy days Willem is fully involved in the Dutch event industry and the way we work towards solutions, representing the VVEM and the Alliantie van Evenementenbouwers in discussions with the government. In the VVEM Knowledge & Development Centre we help both event industry collegues and local and national government.
