While we make incredible efforts to professionalize and improve our events on various levers such as safety and sustainability and please our customers and fans, so much so that we are very likely to forget ourselves on this journey. We need to start talking about this – because issues like responsibility, pressure and burnout are just as much a part of our business as sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. This session is devoted to us. This is about experiences and expectations, about burning out and coming back and about who can help when you need it.

The initiative on Mental Health Care in the Music Industry is a topic she started developing and working on, in different forms such as mentoring sessions, panel discussions and other ways of promoting it, starting in 2018 on several international conferences. Lina is responsible for handling the International Booking in Password Production, same time focused on important issues in the industry as part of the `new generation`.

  • Nicolas Müller

Nicolas Müller Musician / Von Brücken

One of Nicholas' greater accomplishments in life has to be realizing that struggling is no an art by itself, but most definitely the biggest byproduct of creating art. He was the singer of the successful german pop-with-a-punk-edge outfit "Jupiter Jones" til he had to hit the breaks ad quit the band in 2014, due to a severe anxiety disorder with panic attacks. After a sabbatical, he started again in late 2015 by fronting his new band "von Brücken" and writing a book about his life with pathological fear of almost everything, named "Ich bin mal eben wieder tot " (It's hard to translate that title, but "Gimme a sec, I'm dead once again" is roughly accurate... uhm... somehow.)

The book became a bestseller and Nicholas was and is a welcome visitor at talkshows, panels and symposiums regarding mental health issues in modern times. He's also confident that planning not to die anytime soon is a key ingredient for overcoming troubled times. Let's see how that's going to work.
