She works with governments, companies and cultural organisations on transitions in water, food, circular economy and climate. Starting from existing realities, she helps uncover where movement can begin and uses imagination to create a shared picture of the future that people want to work toward. This combination of practical insight and creative vision enables her to turn complex challenges into clear direction and collective steps forward.

With a sharp sense for context and timing, Barbara connects strategic goals with daily practice. Over the past decade she has worked with public, private and cultural organizations such as RVO, What Design Can Do, Tegenlicht, ADE Green, the BAD Award, BlueCity, ID&T, Gemeente Amsterdam, Archohm, Duurzame CAO Rijk, provincie Noord-Brabant, Rabobank, Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland, Provincie Fryslân, Gemeente Rotterdam and the Dutch Design Foundation.
