Bas van Wageningen is a Dutch musician, producer, and songwriter best known as the bassist of DI-RECT, one of the Netherlands’ most successful rock bands. Born and raised in The Hague, Bas began his musical journey as a self-taught teenager and joined DI-RECT at seventeen. Over the past 25 years, the band has become a cornerstone of Dutch rock music, celebrated for its energetic live shows, creative evolution, and loyal fanbase. A legacy culminating in three sold-out stadium concerts at De Kuip in 2025.

Beyond DI-RECT, Bas is an experienced producer and mixer, running his own studio where he collaborates with a wide range of artists. His approach combines instinct, emotion, and technical precision. A reflection of his lifelong commitment to learning and evolving as a musician.
