Dirk-Jan Visser has a background in documentary photography and interactive storytelling. Interested in the positioning of the artist in relation to social challenges, he taught several years at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Besides roles within supervisory boards in the cultural sector, he is the director of the Kunstraad Groningen (Groningen Arts Council). In this position, he aims to contribute to a resilient and sustainable cultural ecosystem in the city of Groningen and the surrounding area.
