Laurens Ham (b. 1985) is assistant professor in Modern Dutch Literature at Utrecht University, with protest music and Dutch pop music as two of his areas of specialization. In November 2020, his book Op de vuist, a history of Dutch protest songs since 1966 in all pop genres (‘Dutch pop’, cabaret, punk, hip-hop, and more), was published. Hij also curates the Spotify playlist Nederlandse protestliedjes - Op de vuist.
