Gerdine Keijzer-Baldé is Secretary-General at the Dutch Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth. She has held this position since April 2025. She also is Deputy Secretary-General and Chief Information Officer at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. She started this position in May 2020. The combination of functions is the result of the close cooperation between the new Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth and the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Before 2020 she was general manager at the IT Implementation Service of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. She has been working for the national government since 1989, in various positions and ministries. She studied history in Leiden.
The main drivers in her work are: an inclusive and diverse workplace, where all kinds of people feel at home and develop their talents; smart use of the opportunities offered by information technology and innovation; close cooperation between policy makers and executive agencies to get meaningful impact on society.
