Leonie Gerritsen was already an animal rights activist at the age of 8. Later, she began extending her activism to other issues such as climate, women's rights, and anti-racism. She organized demonstrations and actions and eventually decided to enter politics herself. Her mission is to bring more activism into politics. She is now a council member in The Hague for the Partij voor de Dieren and can often be found at demonstrations. Music provides her with inspiration and the strength to persevere when things get tough.
