As the genre manager classical, jazz, world at Buma Cultuur, it is my job to promote those composers who are registered at BumaStemra. I do this by organizing showcase and industry events like inJazz and New Music Conference with my team, and by connecting people all year round, both nationally and internationally. Also, I am working closely with our Composer Laureate of the Netherlands 2024-2025, Anne-Maartje Lemereis, to raise awareness about the value of music and music education in our society. My background is in music journalism (OOR, Buma magazine, Gitarist, Slagwerkkrant, Interface), and I have been interviewing, moderating and presenting at various music conferences for more than 25 years.
