For more than 25 years, Martijn has been a volunteer at Appelpop, one of the largest free festivals in the Netherlands. For the past 10 years, he has been responsible for the program, production, and marketing, and is one of the festival’s core organisers. Throughout the year, he manages multiple teams within the organisation to make the festival possible for a broad and diverse audience.

In his professional career, Martijn is Head of Post Production and Managing Partner at the video production company Wenneker.Amsterdam, where he leads and guides multidisciplinary teams.
