Strateeg Evenementen, Gemeente Groningen
As a public administration and political science expert with a passion for the dynamics of the music industry, I dedicate myself to streamlining governmental processes. I combine my interest in complex administrative and political challenges with a deep love for everything related to music. My political-administrative career began in the music industry (Buma/Stemra), followed by roles as a lobby consultant in The Hague (Publyon) and as a civil servant in both The Hague and Brussels (Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport).
In my current role as Event Strategy Expert at the municipality of Groningen, I am committed to positioning the city as a leading destination for events. With a keen eye for regulations and an integrated approach to policy development, I strive to translate the volatility of the event and music industries into actionable strategies within the administrative, governmental, and political realms. This includes addressing challenges such as nuisance, ecology, sustainability, accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity.
My goal is to foster connections between policymakers, government officials, and the creative industries, enabling innovative and sustainable solutions while ensuring events thrive in an ever-changing environment.
