Prof. Dr. Özgehan Şenyuva is a professor of international politics at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Università degli Studi di Siena, an M.A. in International Relations, and a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from METU. With a strong foundation in international relations, he has built a career at the intersection of politics, culture, and civil society.

A well-known expert in youth work and civil society, he has contributed to European initiatives connecting political education, civic engagement, and non-formal learning. His approach often brings underexplored areas—like football and music—into dialogue with political science.



He has collaborated with YOUROPE, leading a workshop at EFC and co-leading FUSION, a project bridging music festivals and youth work. His work shows how festivals can be platforms for political expression, community-building, and resistance, especially in contexts shaped by authoritarianism and democratic backsliding.
