Steebs Method

Steebs’ Method is a jazz-rap band from Groningen, driven by a strong sense of creative freedom and autonomy. The project blends boom bap beats with lush jazz harmonies and philosophical, narrative lyricism. Frontman STEEBY, the alias of Jesse Kortenschijl, was drawn early on to the sincerity of hip-hop storytelling and has since become a distinctive voice in the northern Dutch scene through releases such as Alright and Rat Race. Between 2022 and 2025, he toured extensively, sold out Simplon twice and appeared at festivals including ESNS and SPOT. In 2024, he joined forces with The Method, a jazz-infused hip-hop band of young musicians, resulting in an energetic live show marked by complex compositions, virtuosic solos and head-nodding beats.
