After working within sales at several media companies including radio stations Qmusic and MTV Network/Comedy Central, Anneke made the move to Sony Music Entertainment. In the 5 years she worked for Sony, Anneke was responsible for the 360 degree promotion of both national and international artists. In this role Anneke worked with high-performing, global artists such as The Script, Pharrell Williams, Nothing But Thieves and One Direction. Following her role as Head of Promotions and Media Relations at Sony, Anneke decided to make the switch to Artist Management and moved to work at Dutch management agency, Friendly Fire. During this time Anneke managed artists including Maaike Ouboter, HAEVN and Krezip, of which Anneke played a key role within marketing and promotion in the latter’s successful 2019 comeback. She was also in charge of the strategy and process surrounding the independent release of Krezip’s album ‘Sweet High’. With two hit singles, 3 sold out Ziggo Dome shows and a certified Gold album within a week, Krezip’s comeback has been a professional highlight in Anneke’s career. After working closely with world-leading B2B distributor, FUGA (a division of Downtown Music) during her time at Friendly Fire, she decided to make the move to FUGA in January 2020 and began working as General Manager, Benelux. Throughout her current role at FUGA,Anneke has set up successful collaborations with existing partners within the region such as Left Lane and Hexagon as well as signing new partners like Mascot Label Group.
