Icelandic-Dutch artist, songwriter and producer Áslaug has been an active voice in the Dutch music landscape since releasing her first single in 2019. Working within the alt-pop genre, her sound is defined by powerful drums, warmly layered harmonics and melancholic vocal arrangements that reflect on self-image, anxiety and emotional resilience.

Beyond her artistic output, Áslaug is a dedicated advocate for fair and safe working conditions for musicians and artists in the Netherlands. As an independent artist, she knows firsthand how unjust the current system can be for the creatives who shape the country’s musical culture. She serves on the board of BAM! Popauteurs, the largest association for pop music creators in the Netherlands, and is a member of the Ketentafel Popmusici, a national working group focused on achieving fair pay within the live music sector.
