Dastan Abdali is an anthropologist, rapper, and producer. He is a PhD candidate at Leiden University, where he is doing research on the societal impact of Hip Hop practitioners in the Netherlands. Together with Hip Hop center The Foundation, research project Re/presenting Europe, and other key players such as Groningen’s own, Sherlock Telgt, Abdali is currently setting up a national archive for Hip Hop in the Netherlands.
