Karin Boelhouwer is an advocate for artists at the Kunstenbond, thé trade union for the cultural and creative professional in the Netherlands. She works for the arts education and music sectors, negotiates collective labor agreements and stands up for better working conditions for artists. Fair Practice is an important spearhead: as in other industries professionally made needs to be professionally paid. Karin is also a board member of the Nationaal Podium Plan, chair of the supervisory board of Paradiso Melkweg production house and chair of the board of Residenties in Utrecht.
