Martijn Mulder is a researcher in the fields of live music, cultural and creative industries and leisure. In 2023 he published the book I was There! about the value of pop venues and festivals in the Dutch ecosystem of live music, as part of the POPLIVE project. He also published the Dutch Live Music Monitor and several reports on the Dutch festival sector. Currently, he works as a senior lecturer at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and is also connected to Erasmus University. Martijn works as an advisor for the cultural sector and is a board member of pop venue Mezz in Breda.
