Raised on a steady diet of moshpits and stagedives, Peter has been at the forefront of the political struggle for more attention and support for popular culture. As an MP for the Socialist Party, he wrote the first policy letter in 15 years on pop music. He now chairs the Dutch Fighting Association and hosts Bright Lights, the leading Dutch podcast on country music. Together with his partner in crime Peter he also hosts the nation’s biggest country festivals TakeRoot and Country to Country.
