Selah Sue, born Sanne Putseys, is a Belgian singer and songwriter. She gained international recognition with the release of her self-titled debut album, "Selah Sue," in 2011. During the EBBA award ceremony in January 2012, she was presented with the EBBA Public Choice Award during the ESNS Conference. Her music is a blend of various genres, including soul, pop, reggae, funk, and R&B. Selah Sue's distinctive voice, heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies contributed to the success of her multiple releases, which included hit singles like "Raggamuffin", "This World”, “Crazy Vibes” and most recently the song “Pills”, a song referring to Sanne’s own struggle with mental health. Sanne has always been vocal of breaking the taboo on discussing mental health. As a godmother of the Belgian initiative “Te Gek?!”, an organization focussing especially on young people, she has been involved in supporting their various initiatives for years.
