Angry Chair

Angry Chair is an alternative rock band from the Netherlands, named after the iconic song "Angry Chair" by Alice in Chains. This choice of name reveals the deep influence of the '90s grunge scene, which runs as a common thread through their music. It is further enriched by influences from a range of genres, from metal to pop. After releasing three singles, each of which reached high rankings in the Dutch Indie Charts, Angry Chair launched their debut album Hole in October 2024. The songs address social issues, dark and sometimes unsettling thoughts, and do not shy away from controversial themes. The intense and catchy melodies by Max van der Schoor, the haunting riffs of guitarists David Veen and Martijn Schuur, and the driving rhythm section of bassist Rick Kluin and drummer Irina van Dijk, combined with their energetic performance, create a captivating experience that leaves a lasting impression at every show.
