Gratis Workshop wortelwezens maken - Koos Buist ism Kunstpunt & Talent van Hier

Koos Buist's artwork 'O Denneboom' – in which he reflects on the complex relationship between humans and nature – is on display at the Grote Markt during ESNS. As part of his work, Buist, together with students from IKC Borgman Oosterpoort, created mystical creatures, a kind of small nature spirits, from the roots of Christmas trees.

During ESNS there will also be a crafting session for all ages! On Friday January 17th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, in the 'Voodoo Petrol Club' tent at the Grote Markt, children, parents, and passersby can participate in building these mystical root creatures. Koos Buist will host a workshop where participants can construct these mystical beings using tree roots, string, stones, feathers, reeds, clay, and twigs. As an expert in creating figures from found materials, Koos will guide participants through the process and help them get started. This collaborative activity will spark conversations about how humans interact with and use nature.
