In the blogosphere he is known as His Clancyness. Jonathan Clancy moved to Italy with his parents when he was just a teenager. In Bologna he got his 'classic education'. The collegetown is not only ideal for listening a lot of music, it is also easy to start your own band. Clancy soon found some like minded musicians to start A Classic Education. An indierock band. Or to be more precise: a mix of dreamy guitars, sixties melodies, psych-pop, garage and classic songwriting. Clancy is the kind of guy to put a Phil Spector record on repeat to discover all secrets. After some singles and EP's the band, who started in 2007, this year finally recorded a full length album. They called it Call It Blazing. Blogs like Pitchfork, Gorilla vs Bear and The Fader love them. And that means hitting the road for the band. Not obvious when you have good jobs in Italy. The love for music is that big for these six that they use all their spare time for playing. And what can go wrong with a classic education?
