Alex Gough is a breath of a fresh air. The 21-year-old drummer/rapper from Ireland displays a dizzying variety within his productions: brilliantly old school beats on a track like ‘Breakfast’ and jazz-influenced understatement in the shape of ‘Dear SJ’. There's more outstanding, witty hip hop on his 2020 debut album Forever Classic, and Alex also delves further into the more laidback side of jazz inspired by artists like Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
