This 25-year-old singer and entertainer carries the torch for Afro pop in The Netherlands. Growing up in Amsterdam, Amartey started making music at a young age, but he didn't choose hip hop like many of his peers, the music of homeland Ghana was more appealing to him. Amartey mixes his love for Afro pop, R&B, reggae and hip hop into an Afro-based sound that is gaining fans rapidly. He is a born performer as well, playing with band or solo and acoustic, but always managing to convey that energy.
