Their first show was at May 27 2011. Danish band Battlekat used some smart guerrilla marketing to become the talk of the internettown. In the beginning they called themselves Just A Number 05272011 and had nothing more to offer than a great pop song, He Didn't Want A Love Song, with a simple video. A few Danes discovered that 05272011 had to do with the Spot Festival in Denmark at the 27th of May. Long before that date many fell for Battlekat's music centered around  melancholic Scandinavian electronic beats and the charismatic voice of their female lead singer with a voice somewhere between Karin Dreijer Andersson and Robyn. Despite the electronic touch you can still hear the punk rock past of the musicians from Copenhagen.
