Bodi Bill are three rope-walkers. They keep their balance somewhere between electro, pop, folk and indietronics. Critics have difficulties describing their music. They have tried characterizing the music of this Berlion trio in mentioning Funkstörung and Junior Boys. The point on which everyone agrees is that third album What? has become a lot more pop. "Brisk pop music of high relevance, new and uncompromising, passionate and sophisticated, emotive and charming", is what they say themselves. It is an adventurous mix where Bodi Bill elegantly stakes their claim in between club culture and folk aesthetics. Effortlessly playing with these opposites, they do not deny either of them its unique advantages. The crowds enjoy it, the band is successfully touring Europe. That's of course because it is not often you hear the many sides of Berlin coming together in one band.
