CAW CAW is a garage pop trio from Groningen consisting of Anne Caesar van Wieren (LPG, Karawane), Harmen Ridderbos (Town of Saints, Electro Poetry), and Marcel Wolthof (WATERBOLK, Bert Hadders & the Nozems). Names that will not be unfamiliar to most in the Groningen music scene. CAW CAW makes transverse, intelligent songs without adornment. A bit like straight syrup. One of those bands that makes you want to start a band yourself. Hugo Heinen of VERA Groningen described their song 'Jacob' as "the best song Robert Pollard didn't manage to write in the past 15 years for Guided by Voices and everything else that makes guitar indie so much fun."
