Five handsome boys from London, according to the extremely hip French label Kitsuné that recently had the very big pleasure to announce that they signed Citizens!. Debut single True Romance shows very catchy electronic pop with a sort of indie character and a singer that makes a long lasting impression. Citizens! is also a band with a great sense of production and song structure. As support act for The Rapture, Citizens! is performing in Europe. There is nothing more to hear than the two songs True Romance en (I'm In Love With Your) Girlfriend. And yet it is enough, because both songs are so much fun to put on repeat for an hour. Even when you hear those songs just once, they remain stuck in your head for the rest of the day. We have to wait patiently for the debut album in 2012, nothing you can do about it. To quote Citizens!: I always want the things that I can't have. Luckily we can see them perform live.
