Coals is a young duo from Poland consisting of Katarzyna Kowalczyk and Lukasz Rozmyslowski. The band name refers to their region of Silesia which is famous for coal mines. They dubbed their sound fittingly 'cold pop'. The Quietus added: "dreamy ethereal pop, drawing both from electronic music and elements of folk." There are also hip hop beats and ambient sounds in their hypnotic mix too.
