In Kytopia everything is possible. Kytopia is a sanctuary for artists, mainly musicians, in Utrecht. It was founded by Dutch trumpet player Kyteman. A band that was recently formed in Kytopia is called De Avonduren (dutch for the evening hours). The band consists of a MC, a group of musicians and a lot of stories. We will hear more from them in 2012. During a show by De Avonduren fairytales, sagas, fables and myths are rhytmically recited by MC Kapabel. It is an ode to fantasy, to dreaming during the night and the power of storytelling. And above all it's pure hiphop. Kapabel is accompanied by a part of Kyteman's Hiphop Orchestra with drums, bass, percussion and some warm sounding keys. That sounds like Guru's Jazzmatazz or The Roots.
