Inspired by early 1980’s Soviet pop and brutalist architecture, this trio from Minsk, Belarus employs the mechanized action of motoric rhythm machines, vintage synthesizers and post-punk bass lines to put their spin on classic new wave. Dlina Volny is based in Vilnius and has released two albums and several singles. Singer Masha Zinevitch lights the rain-soaked streets with her contralto swoon in a post-Soviet reality of fear, love and rebellion.
