DZ’OB is an electro-acoustic band from Dnipro, Ukraine that combines classical music tradition with a contemporary electronic approach. They mix a classical approach with classics from synthesiser-based genres like IDM, techno and dubstep, and come up with an eclectic sound. The band features five instruments: oboe, bassoon, violin, cello and drums/electronics. The ensemble starts by re-imagining tracks of eccentric electronic composers like Aphex Twin and Squarepusher and mixes them with Shostakovich and Haydn.
