Elizabete Balcus is a Latvian musician and performing artist who creates neo-psychedelic dream pop from surprising collages of genre juxtapositions, both melodic and experimental. She works with a strong visual aesthetic that draws upon modern surrealism, contemporary fashion and geometric imagery. The spirit of Elizabete’s performance is weirdly theatrical, welding together free-jazz flute improvisations, unearthly voices, electronic beats, elements of chamber music and magical secret glitches. She also plays the synthesiser and turns fruits and vegetables into instruments.
