In her native Norway they're still scratching their heads in confusion from the whirlwind that 24-year-old Emilie Nicolas caused in the music scene. Very few facts about her life have emerged but what we can report is: she has a background in jazz from the conservatory of Trondheim; she has released four dark, electronic pop songs that go from fragile to bombastic in a matter of seconds and she has a powerful yet melancholic voice. Her songs are currently playing on high rotation on Norwegian radio and she's working hard to extend that to the rest of Europe.
