Farao (pharaoh in Norwegian) is the pseudonym of London based, Norwegian singer Kari Jahnsen. The 21-year old singer-songwriter released her first song in January, immediately gaining traction thanks to her remarkable, fragile voice and otherworldly production. She flew to Iceland to work on her first EP with Mike Lindsay of the British experimental folk band, Tunng. Just like her slow cover of Queens Of The Stone Age's, Go With The Flow, her own songs exhibit a fragile melancholy and haunting sadness. Farao spent much of the first half of 2013 on the road, touring across Europe with Karl Hyde (Underworld) and Moddi. This winter she is supporting Icelandic artist, Ásgeir on his European tour.
