You probably wouldn't know what to think of a description like 'balkan folk metal', so just go and listen to Gasmac Gilmore. The band has been described as a mixture of Gogol Bordello, System Of A Down and Pantera, where klezmer, balkan and metal alternate in this upbeat music. We don't know quite how they do what they do, but it's great music to dance to. Vienna has a tradition of being a melting pot for different cultures and kinds of music, and Gasmac Gilmore fits this tradition perfectly with a style of music you have never heard before, but that is undeniably a brilliant discovery.
