Gidge is Jonatan Nilsson and Ludvig Stolterman from Umeå, in the north of Sweden. The classmates had a mutual interest in electronic music, took a Sound Production class and started producing music. Nine years later, they released debut LP Autumn Bells through Dutch label Atomnation. The goal was an electronic album made from natural sounds and moods. Using the woods and the vastness of the north as their main inspiration, they mixed warm electronics, melancholic vocal samples and recordings from the forest into an emotional LP. They were voted Best New Artist in XLR8R's readers poll of 2014.
