Hang Youth moves between art project, angry tweet and serious punk band. In 2020 this gang from Amsterdam released the albums BOEL AAN DE HAND (‘Lot Going On’) and ALLES MOET BETER (‘Everything Has to Get Better’), filled with ultrashort but radically furious hardcore pop punk crunchers that target rising prices, the tax department and giving your kidney to prevent another Rutte-led cabinet. In 2022 Hang Youth toured the Netherlands extensively, and since capitalism hasn’t fallen yet, the band will be left no other option but to release a new album.
