Hospital Bombers
ESNS: 2012
After a nightly session with Paul McCartney's ghost and a Ouija Board, Hospital Bombers finally came up with the title for their second album. It is going to be called At Budokan. We'll have to wait how it is going to sound. The question is if they have learned more chords since debut album Footworks in 2007. Hopefully not, because it is the simplicity that makes the songs of Hospital Bombers so special. And elusive, one calls it stadium folk, the other one talks about country punk and a third one thinks it is lo-fi indie pop with sixties influences. It is music inspired by The Velvet Underground and Mountain Goats. Played with vocals, guitar, violin, philicorda, bass guitar and drums. If only the crystal ball had some speakers, we would be knocking on the door of the fortune teller right now to hear a preview of At Budokan. The first possibility will be Noorderslag however.
