I Heart Sharks
ESNS: 2012
Is it krautrock, synthpop or techno? It's a melting pot, just like Berlin where the trio of I Heart Sharks met. One from England, one from the U.S. and one from Bavaria. Or as they say themselves: one English boy, one German boy, one lost boy. Like Goose slept together with Maxïmo Park, according to the German edition of Rolling Stone about the song Wolves. You may even hear echo's of Ed Banger records, Kraftwerk, The Cure, Foals or Friendly Fires. I Heart Sharks is an anglo-germanic machine covered in scratches, but it works, and it only works as it is, half-automatic and always human. New album Summer was just released and sounds like it is titled, like summer, happy and hopeful. It makes you want to write all over the internet I <3 I Heart Sharks.
